The restaurant in the main building serves good food, though I thought it was a little overpriced. We got a friendly welcome, but the local knowledge seemed limited. We spent two nights in a cabin at the campground, just a short walk from the main building. The cabins work well for a night or two, but I wouldn’t recommend a longer stay. The campground seems like a new venture for them: the toilets and showers are in the old restaurant building and are acceptable, though they still need a proper upgrade.

We travel a lot, and arriving very late usually makes for a rough check-in, but the reception here was one of the best we’ve had. The rooms were spotless and the beds really comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, with plenty to choose from, and very good. It’s a lovely little hotel surrounded by beautiful northern scenery, and the service made our stay.
