First Hotel Jönköping

The hotel has a great atmosphere, and the staff are polite. My room was tidy and clean. What I really didn’t like was that after breakfast there’s no coffee or tea in the lobby. You have to pay at reception for boiling water, tea, or coffee, which wasn’t pleasant for me.

What a surprise to find such an oddly shaped hotel next to a Circle K and a truck stop. My room had eight or eleven corners, was small, but worked really well: there were two fully dressed wall pull-out beds in addition to my queen size. Everything was neatly arranged and well maintained, a nice reflection of the famed Danish ingenuity. The breakfast was average, but the early 6am start was a real plus for those of us heading back on the road early. I’m glad I checked in.

The receptionist was patient and helpful when we had to call a number to get in around 3AM. There’s a very spacious lobby, while the room was a bit small but still had room to move around. The bathroom and shower were pretty tight. Breakfast was complimentary and okay, and it was nice that they asked if we wanted more when we came down near the end of breakfast time. It was a nice experience.

I liked this hotel a lot. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the staff were kind. The curtains kept things dark enough for a beautiful dream. It was much better than the pictures here.
