The rooftop spa has lovely views and a steam room, sauna, indoor pool and outdoor pool. It was all enjoyable, though a jacuzzi or bubble pool would have made it perfect. You do need to book the spa separately, since it isn’t part of the room booking. Our room on the fourth floor was comfortable, very nice and well maintained. The reception area is spacious and inviting, breakfast had plenty of variety and was high quality, and the staff were welcoming. We had an excellent stay at the Elite Hotel in Kiruna, with a nice surprise of a free room upgrade.

The new part of the city is pleasant, and the hotel’s restaurant served excellent food. We also had time to recharge in the wellness area, with views over the landscape around Kiruna. Elite Hotel Frost was a wonderful stop on our trip through Swedish and Finnish Lapland, and a perfect place to slow down for a while. If we return to Kiruna, we’ll stay here again. It brings together high quality, luxurious service and the authentic feel of the region. ✨

For what we paid, this was disappointing. There was no room service, and no water in the room apart from what was in the minibar. There was no coffee in the rooms either. The receptionists weren’t particularly friendly and made us feel like we were taking up their valuable time. The bar has a nice view and cozy atmosphere, but the cocktails were really sad. Spa bookings need to be made very early, so during our two-night stay we couldn’t try it at all.

The breakfast was excellent, and the rooftop spa is well worth a visit if you’re staying at the hotel or in the area. The hotel itself is very comfortable and nicely designed.

We had a comfortable stay, though a couple of things in this new hotel had issues. One room smelled of sewage from the toilet, and another had air-conditioning trouble. We also couldn’t figure out how to open a window. Maja was outstanding. She handled check-in and worked through the room problems with us, staying on top of everything with a smile. Thanks, Maja, for helping and taking such good care of us.
