Gillet is in an old building, but it's probably the cleanest and tidiest hotel I've stayed in for a long time. A perfect spot if you like a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

The rooms may not suit modern expectations. Mine was dated and uncomfortable, and the bathroom especially needs renovating. The restaurant was the highlight, with delicious dinner and breakfast, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference to my mixed stay. If you're after good food and kind service, this place delivers.

The breakfast was the highlight, exceptional Swedish fare that I'd say every guest should try. I didn't get to sample lunch or dinner, though the breakfast quality makes me think they'd be just as impressive. At Hotel Gillet in Köping, I appreciated the minimalist charm, simple but comfortable rooms, and cozy bed. The location near downtown made exploring the area convenient, and the staff brought a very welcoming Swedish hospitality. One thing to keep in mind is that there's no elevator, which could be an issue for anyone with mobility concerns. I'd wholeheartedly recommend the hotel.

The restaurant food was very good, though the menu leaned a bit heavily on "planka" options. Breakfast was amazing, with freshly baked bread. The staff were friendly, and they were flexible about check-in and check-out times. A lovely hotel.

Great service and nice food, and the hotel itself is nice. The rooms do need updating.
