Lidingo Arena Hotell

The staff were friendly and always willing to help, and breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. I stayed in December and found the room spotless and comfortable. The central location made it easy to explore the city, and being close to the bus was really convenient. I’d highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam. A top-notch stay.

Our vacation in Sweden was completely ruined by this stay. The room was cramped, extremely small, and uncomfortable, as the photos show. Dust was visible everywhere, and the staff came across as unwelcoming, speaking with guests as if it were only an obligation. There was no central heating, just a small electric heater that wasn’t enough to keep the room comfortable. I was also concerned by moisture visible under the windows and exposed fiberglass insulation, only partly concealed by a wooden panel. That raised serious hygiene and safety concerns. This place doesn’t deserve even one star, though the rating system won’t let me give less. I strongly don’t recommend it to other travelers.

It was easy to reach Stockholm center and Gamla Stan from the hotel. I stayed two nights for a Stockholm trip, and both the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Thanks for everything, I’d give it 10/10.

I booked a “double room studio” for two nights on their office website, but at reception I was told something had gone wrong and all the double rooms were sold out. The receptionist offered a single room instead, which their website listed for 300 kr per day less. Even so, he said I still had to pay the booked double-room price. It felt strange and rude.
