The view was great, and after a long, rainy hike we were glad a neighbor helped us into the communal living room when we arrived early in the evening and found reception closed. They made a few calls, and an employee soon came by, set us up with a room, and got the heat working. Great service and a lovely stay. We’d definitely come back. There was one problem: a ticking noise, probably from the pipes, went on all night and woke us a few times.

We planned on staying one or two nights, but liked the campsite so much that we ended up there for four. It’s quiet, green, and the people are very nice. You can swim in the lake, rent a canoe, or walk in the forest, and the prices are really good. I’d definitely recommend camping here if you’re in the area.

The kitchen was great, and the bathrooms and toilets were clean. Showers are separated by curtains, but there was enough privacy. It’s a beautiful campground with cabins too, roomy camping pitches with electricity, and lovely views of the lake.

We spent one night in the hostel. The room was clean and it was a decent place to stay, though nothing amazing. We couldn’t get the central heating to turn on, so we weren’t able to dry all our gear.

So beautiful! Sweden has lots of lovely places for hiking. Nice houses, clean warm showers, and friendly staff.
