The staff made us feel welcome right away. Patrick told us how his business began 27 years ago, and Marika kindly shared some recipes for the home-baked breakfast treats I was hoping to try making myself. Breakfast was nicely prepared, and we never heard other guests unless we ran into them in the dining room. I would have liked a brighter reading light above the bed, though lower light levels seem common in Swedish lodgings. The bath mat and thick, soft, machine-dried American-style towels were a treat, both new to us during our travels around Sweden. I was unsure at first about staying in a hotel inside a multi-use building, something I haven’t seen in the U.S., but this was a pleasant place and we’d return. There aren’t many hotel choices in Ljunbgy, and a relative’s recommendation proved right for our two-night stay.

We’ve probably stayed here 10-15 times over the past 10 years, and it keeps feeling like a home away from home. The rooms and shared spaces are quiet and nicely decorated. We found a supermarket in the same building and picked up food for dinner, which was handy on our bike tour. The hotel takes up just the third floor of a tall building, so finding such a small, lovely place there surprised us. A very nice city hotel, ideal for an overnight stop.

Patrik, the hotel owner, greeted me with real kindness and showed me around, pointing out the facilities and my room. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and both breakfast and the coffee were fantastic. Parking was easy, and the hotel is right in the town centre. I stayed one night and would definitely come back.

I was here for a few nights, and it turned out to be a really good stay. The rooms are small but clean, and the hotel itself is small and sooo cozy. Breakfast is made on site by the staff, with quite a lot to choose from. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and as a guest from another country I felt very supported. Their English was very good. There’s an open kitchen you can use in the afternoon to make food or tea. I’d highly recommend staying here, depending on what you prefer.
