Lappland

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel has a beautiful view. Its spa is also quite large, so it could be a nice weekend away with family. But I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re travelling with a dog. I can only speak about the pet-friendly room: it was tucked into a ground-floor corner with no view, and the facilities were very old compared with the rooms shown on the website. When we were ready to rest, we found lots of hair on the bed, which I’ve never encountered at another hotel. Thankfully, staff came and changed the bedding as soon as we reported it.

The hotel was in a great spot for us, just 100 m from the ice-oval race. The room was clean, and service was consistently polite and good. Breakfast was really good too. Downstairs, the SPA has cold and warm pools, saunas, relaxation mattresses, and a pool bar serving snacks.

The food was just normal, and could be better for vegetarians in particular. Still, I had a good one-night stay and really liked the location. The hotel’s sauna and spa were nice to enjoy. 👍🏻

The breakfast was nice and the prices were fair. The spa is great, though it needs to be kept clean. Children were in both sections, even though the spa was not adult-only and was marked 15+. Room 117 had only been partly renovated, with an old-fashioned bathroom and a tiny TV with four channels. That doesn’t match the beautiful restaurant, where the food was all very oily or deep-fried. Please keep a closer eye on the staff. This could be a five-star stay.
