I’d recommend this hotel to cyclists like me, since everything you’re likely to need is nearby. My main gripe was the very weak WiFi in my room, even though I wasn’t far from the front desk. In the lobby, though, the connection was five out of five. The hotel is old and worn and could use some care, but my room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked. Breakfast was nice, if not the best I’ve had in Sweden or Europe. I booked through hotels.com for $84 USD a night. The next cheapest option was nearly twice as much, and another cost more than twice that, so keep the price in mind when comparing.

It was my first time in Lycksele, and I found the area around the water very beautiful. The accommodation was good for the price, with clean, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. I don’t really have anything to complain about and would definitely recommend visiting.

I couldn’t wait to check out in the morning, and we didn’t even want to try the free breakfast after seeing the state of the room. The hotel was old and run down, with a weak internet signal even though we were near the front desk. The shower door barely shut, and everything looked as if it hadn’t been updated since 1960. We couldn’t find the front door when we arrived, which should have been a warning. It was the second-worst hotel I’ve stayed in my whole life. There were no other vacancies in town apart from the campsite, which in hindsight would probably have been better and much cheaper.
