Slipens Hotell

Everyone working at the hotel was friendly, full of smiles and happy to offer useful advice. The suite's view and quality were just right, and the tasteful decor gave the whole place a peaceful feel. I loved staying here and can't wait to return.

The place is clean, nicely decorated, and the food is very good. My one complaint is the lack of hotel-style service: there is no reception, restaurant staff give you a code to enter, and there is no luggage help or room service. As foreigners, we took the name to mean this was a hotel, but it felt more like a B&B. It would be helpful if it were advertised that way. It's still a nice place, just don't expect hotel service :)

We meant to stay for two nights and ended up extending our visit. Our room had loads of character, and both dinners we ate there were excellent, as was breakfast. The staff were friendly, and you could feel the family-run atmosphere. We also got to use the sauna and jump into the sea.

Breakfast was amazing, with plenty to choose from, real ingredients and a clear sense of care. The hostess was incredibly welcoming and kind. The receptionist and cleaning staff were also attentive and helpful, whether we had tourist questions or needed something for the room. Each room tells the story of different people from the island, and they're decorated with real care. They even provide thoughtful comforts like quality raincoats in case the weather turns wet. Just remember that reception is in the restaurant Brygghuset, not in the hotel building itself.
