Breakfast was served in a cute café-like room, with a generous choice: cereal and muesli, rolls and bread with sweet and savoury toppings, scrambled eggs, bacon, warm waffles, fruit, juice, coffee drinks, hot chocolate and tea. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a bit of a sea view. I liked the distinctive decor, which didn’t feel kitschy or overdone, and the lack of unnecessary cushions and blankets. The bathroom was clean and nicely proportioned, with good quality towels. We also appreciated the little coffee corner with an electric kettle and everything needed for a hot drink without going out. There was some noise from cars parking and early morning deliveries, so earplugs are a good idea at night. That’s to be expected if you’re not staying in the country, and I think earplugs may even have been provided. We had a great time and will be back if we travel to the Malmö area again.

The tech details were a fun surprise at Havshotellet Malmö. The bed has adjustable modes, almost like a futuristic spa, and the ceiling lights give the room a relaxing feel in the evening. The atmosphere is warm and stylish without being over the top. Breakfast was fresh, varied and clearly made with care. There’s also a restaurant nearby serving braised beef cheeks, which were unexpectedly refined and really tasty. We’d definitely return. It’s a gem if you want somewhere stylish but not too much.

We had a comfortable stay in a clean, well-kept room. Communication was always clear, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious as well as convenient. We’d happily stay here again.

The service deserves five more stars! The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and the place felt much friendlier and cosier than a big chain hotel. I recommend it!

A handy little place for a night before heading to CPH in the morning. There’s a short walk to a well-lit, park-like area for the dog, and the staff were super friendly and accommodating.
