Quality Hotel the Mill

We were there for our holiday from February 18-23, and both the rooms and staff were great. The parking in the underground garage was reasonably priced, and you can charge an EV there using EON fast chargers. I’d recommend it.

The hotel was well placed for a walk around the city, and Hyllie’s main shopping centre was just a short drive away. I also liked the breakfast buffet, and the staff were attentive and great. The gym is small, but it works for a quick workout while you’re away. Being open all the time suited me as an early riser.

I tried contacting the hotel afterward for an explanation, but couldn’t find an email for complaints on the website, and nobody answered in the chat. The whole experience left me disappointed with the staff’s attitude and the lack of customer care. I’d checked out at 8:30 that morning, then came back briefly around 9:30 to use the ground floor restroom. A man at reception shouted at me rudely and unprofessionally, saying it wasn’t a public restroom and telling me to leave. I explained I’d been a guest and had checked out only an hour before. He didn’t apologize and kept insisting in an aggressive way. Since my booking allowed checkout at 12:00, I could have stayed until then and used the bathroom in my room instead of being treated like that.

The double room was in good shape, spacious and nice, even though I was on my own. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was really good. The hotel is well located in Malmö, a short way from the city centre. Parking in the nearby garage costs 250 SEK per day. Recommended.
