The renovated room was comfortable enough that the worn-looking outside of the building didn’t matter to me. It seems the owners bought the place fairly recently and are updating rooms one at a time. For the low price, I thought it was a solid stay: the room was clean, the staff were friendly, breakfast had plenty of choice, and the Wi-Fi never cut out while I watched Netflix. Just don’t expect luxury. The walls are thin, so you can hear neighbors mumbling, and nearby showers are pretty loud.

We’d booked three nights but left after two. The smell was the worst part: musty throughout most of the hotel, and especially strong in the corridor by our room. Coming back to that smell and the miserable atmosphere after a day out ruined the skiing holiday we’d planned to base here. I felt cheated, and wouldn’t recommend it at all. The place also felt almost ghostly in the evening, with no one at reception and mismatched furniture around the empty entrance. Our room looked much worse in person than in the photos, and was really dingy. My daughter wouldn’t use the tiny, unpleasant shower. We couldn’t stand another night and won’t be back.

I paid 1300:- for one night and got a dirty, smelly room with hair all over the floor and a leaking shower. The walls were very thin, too. Getting in was a hassle: first they gave me the wrong room code, and the lock didn’t seem secure. It only worked when it felt like it. Breakfast was inedible. The scrambled eggs and bacon were cold, and the chilled items were lukewarm. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Calling it a hostel would be more accurate.
