The host welcomed us in the main house and was very friendly, though Swedish didn't seem to be a strong point. You can get a really good small breakfast there, which I'd recommend. The place has several kinds of stays, from camping pitches to full apartments, beside a broad, quiet stretch of river Lagan with lovely morning views. The gardens and trees are well cared for, and inside everything feels fresh, either recently renovated or exceptionally maintained, including the shared camper areas. There are a few little quirks, but nothing that caused us trouble. Markaryd is about a 15 minute drive away for services. It works well for a comfortable work stay, a more upscale camping trip, or a quiet getaway. I'd happily return.

The owners were easygoing, and we really liked having showers that didn't need coins or access cards. We spent three quiet days here on our tour of Scandinavia, a great place to unwind. The lake is large enough to explore on SUP.

The quiet river setting makes it easy to relax, and there's a lot of clean space around the hostel with comfortable rooms. Staff were friendly and seemed to care that we were having a good stay. Breakfast is well worth getting. It's about 30 minutes from the beach, with good biking and hiking routes nearby and a nice kite spot not too far away. We can definitely recommend it.

We only stayed one night, but the cozy atmosphere and lake view made us glad we found the place. The hosts were warm and helpful, even lending us tools when we had a small problem with a bicycle tire. Breakfast was delicious, and they served it with real care and attention to detail. Would absolutely recommend staying here.
