Breakfast was really good, and the rooms are spacious, with elegant rococo-style decor. This old mansion is an affordable place to stay, and it's being brought back toward its former glory, perhaps even beyond. The work was ongoing in July 2021, but it didn't disturb us. The complete quiet you'd expect at a countryside mansion, with only nature sounds, isn't quite there because a factory is a few kilometers away. It wasn't loud, though, and never kept anyone awake.

Dirty, messy, and disorganized throughout. The staff were unfriendly, and the place badly needs renovation. It's right beside one of Sweden's largest paper pulp mills, hardly a convenient bed and breakfast. I'm shocked people give it five stars.

Maria, the owner, gave us a warm welcome along with her charming dogs and horses. We also got to try axe throwing for the first time. The mansion and its history are fascinating, and Marias generous, friendly nature made us look forward to coming back.

The hostess was so kind, and breakfast was prepared nicely. We had a beautiful room with good beds. I'd definitely book again!

We loved staying here on our trip from Stockholm to Öland. A perfect stop, and easy to recommend.
