Before heading home over snowy roads in -10°C weather, we picked up a few lovely souvenirs. I still think fondly of our one night at Fulufjällsgården near Särna, in the beautiful Mörkret area. After being out in the cold, a hot shower and the quiet, peaceful atmosphere felt wonderful. The staff member on duty was calm and friendly, quietly looking after everything. We spent the evening by the fireplace watching TV and the Swedish singing competition Melodifestivalen, which made the stay feel extra cozy. Breakfast was lovely and complete, with delicious fresh bread. A memorable, warm place to stay in the mountains.

The breakfast and room were worth the price by 200%, especially since getting to the hotel by bus is kind of difficult. The hotel had a really nice atmosphere, and they offered to drive us to different places. We also had easy access to the natural reserve, which was sooo beautiful.

We were there for five nights, and because it was off season, there weren't many other guests around. The hostel felt peaceful and clearly cared for by the lovely host, who seemed passionate about it. The shared kitchen and bathrooms were very clean.
