BEST WESTERN Princess Hotel

The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel, with a really wide selection, and the location was great too. We had a great stay. The only small drawback was the third bed, a pull-out couch that was decent but not very comfortable.

The toiletry products from Ritual's smelled great, a nice extra. I had to get into my room after closing time, and the staff helpfully sent instructions for entering both the hotel and my room. I really appreciated the care. My stopover was great, and I'd like to return to Norrköping for a longer stay and to enjoy the hotel amenities. If you're coming with luggage from the train or bus station, I'd take public transport. The walk is enjoyable and within walking distance, but the bus stop is very close to the hotel, so you don't have to carry your bags around.

Update May 2025: I sent feedback to the hotel, and the manager replied. I decided to try it again and had a more pleasant stay. The room was clean, staff were nicer, and breakfast was just as good as on my previous visit. My first stay wasn't pleasant. At check-in they handed me a key without explaining how to find the room. You had to take the elevator to one floor, cross the building, then take another elevator to the right floor. I could have gone back to ask, but I've stayed at lots of hotels, and they usually check if you're new and explain the route, even when it's simple. The room was dirty, with candy and sugar wrappers on the floor. It looked like nothing had been done except, hopefully, changing the bedding and towels. The hotel was fully booked, so I didn't ask for another room. Breakfast was pretty decent, with nice staff and a reasonable selection. I'm fairly new to Best Westerns, but this was by far the worst one I've stayed in and far from good value. I planned to mention the cleanliness at checkout, but the same person was at reception as during check-in. I didn't bother, since they clearly didn't care.

Breakfast was the standout, with plenty of bread and buns, eggs prepared three ways, meats, cheese, spreads, fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly squeezed orange juice, a berry drink and more. The hotel is right in the city center, so most things you might need are a short walk away. Our room was clean and cozy, and the bathroom had hand soap, shampoo, body wash and conditioner. The gym is well equipped and open early until 22:30 on weekdays, with shorter hours on weekends. Highly recommended.
