The Lamp Hotel Norrkoping

At 2,895 SEK per night, this is one of the most expensive hotels in Norrköping, yet my stay was a complete disappointment. The room was very cold, the ventilation didn't work properly, and the heat never came on overnight. Around 3-4 AM I called the hotel's main number for help, but they couldn't offer a solution. I later reported the problem in writing, and management never followed up or offered compensation. For this price, the lack of service and accountability is unacceptable. I don't recommend staying here.

Breakfast was amazing, and I especially loved the Scandinavian duvets, which always seem just the right size to me. My room was spacious, and although the bed was quite small, it was very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were spotless and absolutely top-notch. One small suggestion: please put little rests for the serving spoons beside each dish. Many guests left the spoons on the heavy metal pots, where they could easily fall off.

The spa really ought to be included for the price. The restaurant was good too, though expensive, and there were vegetarian choices. This is a very nice hotel near the city centre of norrkoping, but it's pricey. The rooms are spacious and the beds especially comfortable. The bedrooms look and feel a little dated, like a style that was popular in big cities a few years ago, though I suppose that adds some charm.

In winter, remember to bundle up for the walk to breakfast and the gym. I stayed at Lamp Two, across the road from reception. The room was very modern, the toilets had a great marble design, and even the coffee machine was premium.
