Hotell Jämteborg

The botanical decor and lovely plants around the dining area and terrace will charm anyone who loves plants. We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Jämteborg, our second time here. The staff were welcoming and smiling, the rooms comfortable, and breakfast had good vegetarian options. It’s also close to the central station, the bus station, and the city center.

Just a few metres from the city center, with safe parking and really helpful, friendly staff. This was my second stay in three years. The room was small but clean, and breakfast was terrific.

The rooms are small, and sharing the bed would mean getting very cozy, but they’re great for solo travelers. I found the staff friendly and accommodating when I arrived late. Breakfast included fresh bread, yogurt, fruit, tea, juice, and coffee. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and into the city center.

Breakfast was good, with a few surprises like herring. They serve dinner on weekdays for most of the year too; it was alright, though I don’t think that should affect the price. The hotel is near the town center and railway station, and nights were mostly quiet apart from odd banging from the front of the building when it was windy. The rooms were decent but poorly cleaned. The double beds felt narrower than expected, and the bathrooms were mediocre. I didn’t expect such cheap toilet paper at this price. There’s a basement leisure room and gym, but most things are broken down. I left with a poor impression and still wonder what justifies the price.
