The Old Post Office

A kind, welcoming host and a cozy room in their house. The location isn't anything special, but it works nicely as a stop during a road trip.

Lapland is beautiful, and Jolanda organized our excursions perfectly. We went ski touring through the forests and over the river, visited the Sami and their reindeer, took a husky tour and a snowmobile tour, made our own campfire and grilled sausages, and walked with Olle, the nicest dog in Lapland. An unforgettable holiday, highly recommended!

Jolanda helped set up several outings, all of them a lot of fun. We went into the forest on Finnish touring skis, through deep snow with some adventurous challenges. Halfway, we stopped for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a BBQ, grilling hot dogs over a wood fire. The next day, through Jolanda's arrangements, we went husky sledding in Overkalix, then took a snowmobile tour in Kalix. It was nice to do both with local companies and just our own group of three, which made it feel personal. The apartment was nicely furnished, and Jolanda was helpful and made us feel at home quickly. Great place to stay, highly recommended!

We booked a ski touring trip with Jolanda rather than staying at the B&B, and it was a great choice. She explained clearly how to use the skis and told us about the area and Swedish customs while we toured through the forest. Halfway through, we enjoyed grilled sausages and sandwiches. A lovely day.
