Dinner 45 was the best part for me, an authentic American restaurant with pleasant staff, and music from the 50s like Elvis and Dolly. Good place for Instagram photos, too. The hotel itself is super nice, right in the middle of Rattvik, with easy parking, clean rooms and a tasty breakfast. They even had American pancakes.

The fifties-style dining restaurant and the location make this a great place. Free parking with charging is a nice bonus. On my last visit, work on the outside of the building somewhat affected the lake view, so the experience wasn’t perfect.

We arrived after dark and left before seeing much of the surroundings, which apparently aren’t that great, but it didn’t bother us. The hotel is well located, and the diner attached to it made the stay worthwhile. Skip the mainstream fast food and enjoy a great American 50s diner here.

Friendly staff, a rich breakfast and a clean, comfortable room with a distinctive design. The hotel is right by the lake and a small train station. Highly recommended.
