The room was very poorly cleaned when we checked in, and to our dismay there was gravel and BLOOD on the mattress. There was no toilet paper, and the toilet cleaner was sitting on the sink beside the soap. The worst, lousy place. We’re going to a wedding, and everything in Rättvik and the surrounding area is fully booked. The young people at reception were probably doing their best, but nobody apologized. Wonder what breakfast will be like tomorrow 🙃

The location worked well for us, close to Dalhalla, where we were going, and with several entrance doors there was always one nearby. The room was quite okay, with its own toilet and kitchenette. But the outside walls were damp and the paint had started peeling. Some clothes left in a wardrobe smelled awful, so we had to air things out.

It’s a regular hostel, but the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, with pretty much everything you could wish for.

Bright, fresh premises in a nice spot close to Siljan. The downside is that sound carries well through the ventilation, so noisy neighbors can be a problem, and the Wi-Fi was unreliable.

For a hostel, it was very good, and the staff were nice and accommodating. I appreciated the fridge with drinks and snacks for sale, and it was a big plus having coffee to make in the kitchen too.
