Rättviksgården Vandrarhem (Hostel) is right in the heart of Rattvik, close to shops and places to eat. Rattvik Bowling is directly across the street.

We found the visit pleasant, and the wooden buildings had a cozy 70s feel. There were shared showers for different rooms, and I think there was a kitchen in the building too. We were only in Rättvik briefly and ended up at Rättviksgården. The main downside was how far it is from central Rättvik. Our bed felt like a death trap and squeaked a lot, and you could hear things between the rooms. That’s what kept it from getting four stars. Breakfast was cheap, a little over a hundred riksdaler. I was a bit disappointed there was no egg option, but the spread was otherwise great. The staff member even offered to get me something I’d asked for, though I can’t remember what it was. What service! If you’re staying in Rättvik for one or two nights, this is the place for you. We were there in May 2025. 3.5/5.
