That veranda was such a nice bonus, and I’d happily stay here again. The room is a little cramped, and it’s missing basics like a wardrobe and cooking utensils, though the owner can provide those. The owners more than made up for it with the lovely breakfast and great service.

There’s a little outdoor sitting space for each room, which really helps make the place feel special. Ranjee is one of the friendliest hosts I’ve met, and breakfast is cooked to order with whatever you like. The room was bright and clean, with a small kitchen for cooking or making tea. The shower has a great big head, and the mattress and pillow felt like something from a four-star hotel. A lovely spot to relax by the lake and canal.

I didn’t feel comfortable staying here, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The room was tiny and very cold. The owner came into my room and my friend’s room to switch off the heaters. After work one day, I noticed my things had been moved and looked through. Someone who went into the room also broke a drinking glass and left it on the floor. The owner is Apu from The Simpsons.

The breakfast was delicious, and the host was helpful and friendly. I only stayed one night, but the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
