Home Hotel Majoren

The rooms are modern and very nice, and the hotel was quiet since it isn't right by a major road. We stayed for half a week while visiting nearby towns, museums, and national parks, and used Majoren as our base. Food was good at breakfast, fika, and dinner, and there's a gym and sauna too. If you're going to the university, it's within walking distance, as is some kind of train or bus station.

The design was lovely after the recent renovation, and they served both dinner and breakfast.

We spent one night here before travelling on the next day. The location worked well, close to the train and bus station, and it was very quiet at night. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We did spot a few small live insects in the bathroom, though the room overall was very clean.

Breakfast was great, and they had different snacks, tea, and coffee available during the stay. The hotel is cozy, with well furnished rooms and comfortable beds, plus a small workout room and sauna. The odd part was that nobody made my bed or emptied the trash during my four nights there.
