Karstorp Hotel

We booked months ahead for the event and didn't make any special requests. The part of the hotel we were put in was being reconstructed, and between the damp smell from the building and the chemicals from fresh paint, the stay was miserable. The toilet door swung both ways, which meant no privacy. I might not have written this review if I hadn't found out how they charged and billed us. The staff were unfriendly, the descriptions misleading, and the prices high for what we got. If you think Swedish people are all honest, kind, and hospitable, this place might change your mind.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and it's clear they care about guests. Breakfast was good, especially the little croissants. The room was simple but fine for the price. A few things could use improvement: the Wi-Fi was useless in our room, the TV picture was choppy and the sound distorted sometimes, and there were no electrical outlets by the bed or in the bathroom. Don't miss the surroundings either. Take a walk, and if you feel like it, swim in the nearby lake.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very kind and helpful. It's a lovely bed and breakfast by a lake, with gorgeous early 1900s buildings and a spacious room. Choose the standard room rather than the budget one. It was exactly what I was hoping for.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was nice with what seemed like a good range of food. Definitely try the chia pudding. We had a standard room, but there was no fridge. Our room wasn't cleaned and we didn't get fresh towels at all during the week we stayed. Breakfast also starts much later on weekends.
