At Six

We loved our stay, especially the very central location. The rooms were clean and very nice, and breakfast had a great menu, good food, clean surroundings, and comfortable seating. The hotel bar felt fancy, with lovely seating and a great atmosphere. One downside was the temperature in the room: the windows don't open, and it got a bit too warm overnight. The AC wasn't on when we visited in spring. I hope that's different in summer.

I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. The location is fantastic, the staff are very friendly, breakfast is amazing, and the beds are very comfortable with good soundproofing. I had a nice room with a balcony upgrade through AMEX FHR. The AC didn't work, and there was no water in the room, just an empty bottle to refill from the bathroom tap. That didn't feel very five-star or luxurious, especially with the room not cooling down. Maybe the water setup reflects the hotel's green approach, or something more widely done in Sweden, but glass-bottled water would've been nice. These would be easy things to fix, and otherwise I'd have had no complaints.

The food was a highlight, especially the amazing brunch. The chef clearly knows their stuff, and the wine list was excellent too. Service was top-notch all the way from reception to the waitstaff and servers. At Six is outstanding in every way. The rooms are beautiful and impeccably clean, and I'd happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Stockholm.

The hotel is right by a mall, with plenty of shopping and food options there. A block away is the Drottinggatan district, with even more places to shop and eat. The staff were courteous, cheerful, and happy to help. We also had amazing food: breakfast had all kinds of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, fresh pastries, fruit, smoothies, and lots more. If breakfast is included with your reservation, even better. We had dinner there one night too. I ordered pork shoulder and my wife had mushroom ravioli, and both were excellent. Getting around was easy. Gamla Stan, the old city, was a 10-minute walk, and the hop-on hop-off bus by the Royal Opera was about 5-6 minutes away on foot. My wife and I first had to get our bearings, but then it took us about 10-15 minutes to walk to the train station. From the hotel, most major sights are roughly a 10-minute walk. You can't go wrong here.
