On my way through Tegnerlunden Park to busy Drottninggatan Street, I noticed a sculpture showing a man’s physique. I stopped to look and took a few photos of the area. Vhuntermassage LLC

As an artist, I’d strongly urge other artists, or anyone curious about what makes art feel magical, to stop and see this sculpture if they pass it. Honestly, it’s one of Carl Eldh’s best works portraying a historical figure.

Tegnérlunden Park feels like a calm pocket in the city, with the August Strindberg sculpture at its center. The art and greenery sit together in a way I found both relaxing and inspiring. Carl Eldh’s figure has a forceful expression and an audacious style. The nudity doesn’t feel shocking to me, but rather suggests the authenticity and raw truth associated with Strindberg. His face and posture seem tense, as if showing the writer’s turbulent inner life. It’s a tribute to a great creator, and a reminder that art can move us and shift how we see the world. 🙏

A lovely park that feels removed from the crowds even though it’s right in the middle of things. I seriously doubt Strindberg looked like that 🤣😂
