The beds were both broken, and one had sharp edges. There were other obvious repair issues too: damaged blinds and handles, plus a dresser top that was dangerously loose. We chose the place for its location and photos and booked two beds, but arriving to find cleaners still there set the tone. The dishwasher was running and packed full, with some dishes still dirty. I shouldn't have to unload somebody else's dishwasher on holiday. The coffee machine and trash bin were filthy, and the kitchen counters were grimy. The property needs serious repairs and a proper deep clean. One of the worst places I've stayed. Completely unacceptable.

The room and apartment were poorly kept, and several amenities were missing. Getting checked in was a nightmare because the instructions on booking.com were outdated and no help at all. The host only appeared on the day we checked out, and was rude and unapologetic about all the runaround. Avoid.

Good bus and metro connections, and the location is right in the middle of Gamla Stan, in a historic building. We had a three-room apartment with a separate entrance straight off the alley. The living space downstairs, with its kitchenette, looked lovely and had plenty of equipment. The bedrooms were down in the basement with no windows. They felt a bit musty and too warm even with the air conditioning. The beds were comfortable and clean, but the place wasn't clean enough overall. Pipes ran along the walls, so you could hear showers and washing up throughout the building. Wi-Fi worked well only on the ground floor. The bathroom was tiny but usable, with a shower and toilet, though there was no storage and the shower curtain was grimy. Check-in was a little chaotic. It was okay for three nights, but I wouldn't want to stay longer.

It's a picturesque old building in an excellent location, though everything feels quite dated and could use renovation. There's no elevator, which comes with the age of the building.
