Gamla Stan Apartments

The house manager had a high chair ready in the kitchen for our two young kids, and there were umbrellas in the hall and pantry basics, including coffee. Those little touches made things easy for us as a family of four. The place was clean, quiet, lovingly decorated, and well equipped. Restaurants and a grocery store are nearby, and getting to the subway, buses, and ferry was straightforward.

We stayed a couple of days in the “Irmeli” apartment in Gamla Stan. It’s on the small side, but cozy, nicely decorated, and has everything you need. The wifi was super fast, and we had a great time there. The owner told us the flat is named after a distinguished Finnish lady who used it for palm reading and fortune telling, mostly by candlelight. We’d happily recommend the place.

Carl has a lovely rooftop terrace where we could unwind in the evenings, and the apartment is right in the old town with lots of nice restaurants around. We were a family of four and really enjoyed staying there. It’s on the fourth floor with no elevator, and the apartment has two levels. Even with temperatures around 30 degrees, we slept well with the a/c on. There was some street noise, but the landlord had provided earplugs. We didn’t use the kitchen, though it was fully equipped.

Everything you might need is in this apartment, and it was so clean. Great spot near Gamla Stan, one of the best places I’ve stayed in Europe!
