The blinds were useful, and the hotel has friendly service, but some practical details need attention. There’s no doormat at the entrance, so snow and water get tracked into the rooms, especially on the first floor, and a mat would help the cleaner too. The doors are very heavy and slam loudly. In our room, the sink was too tiny to wash my face in. There was a mirror, but nowhere sensible to put it, so it ended up behind the coat rack, which was also the only place to store clothes. A few small improvements could make a big difference.

The Top Floor attic room was surprisingly charming, clean and comfortable, and it was quiet too. The front desk service was good over the two days I stayed. Breakfast was the best, with hours running from 7 to 10 AM, which was handy. It’s centrally located and good value. I’d stay here again.

I woke up after the first night covered in bites. When I checked, there were bugs in the mattress seams and on the pillows. I told the front desk, but they said the room was “clean” and initially refused to move us. Once we got home, we had to throw out some clothes and disinfect our luggage. It was an unacceptable, really stressful experience. Don't go here. Bugs everywhere.

They said my room wasn't ready when I arrived, then kept me waiting in the lobby until evening. No facilities were provided. I was completely unhappy with the experience. Don't go there.
