Lady Hamilton Apartments

Alex was especially helpful when we checked in, and the staff in general are very nice. The beds are warm and comfortable, and you can set the temperature and lighting yourself. The rooms have a rustic, old-fashioned look but still feel modern enough that nothing's missing. Breakfast is tasty, though the choices are the same each day.

There are small, cramped rooms, no lounge, restaurant, sauna, or other facilities, and old objects clutter the place. Breakfast was simple, with nothing for people who like fruit and vegetables. Garbage trucks come by at seven, and church bells ring twice an hour, all day and night. No wonder there are earplugs in the rooms. I expected a small, more luxurious hotel and was very disappointed. This feels like the same standard as a hostel.

The staff were the best part, so friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a wonderful range of food. Our room was clean and just right. The location in Gamla Stan was perfect for getting around Stockholm and close to everything. One small tip: ask the front desk for earplugs, since the church bells ring through the night. With them, it wasn't an issue for us. We had a wonderful stay at Lady Hamilton and highly recommend it.

Breakfast was fresh and varied, with vegan and gluten-free choices, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel is full of character, with lovely traditional antiques to look at. It's in the oldest part of the city, within walking distance of the main sights and ferry departure points. I had a wonderful experience here. If they don't have a room, the same family also owns and runs The Lord Nelson and The Victory nearby.
