The check-in was straightforward. A very friendly, helpful receptionist explained what we needed to know, and I especially liked opening the door with my phone’s browser and internet, no keys or access cards needed. The room and beds were tidy, with clean sheets stacked and ready. I have no complaints about how the hostel itself is run. It’s group accommodation, so you can’t pick your roommates, and people can come and go from the dorms. I was lucky during my visit: everyone was respectful, there was no unnecessary nighttime noise, and I slept well. I spent the day walking around Stockholm. The hostel is fairly close to the city center and the ship harbor, Värtahamnen. I walked back to the ship terminal in about 15 minutes.

The manager, Marko, gave me a warm welcome and helpful guidance during my week at Nomad Gärdet. He and the team are clearly committed to looking after guests, and I especially appreciated that as a solo traveler. Their hospitality was excellent. Many thanks for the professionalism and kindness.

I spent two nights here, in two different rooms: a double room with a window, Room 14, and a family room without a window, Room 17. There was a reasonable amount of space in both, and they were clean. Shoes aren’t allowed inside, but slippers are provided, and several bus stops are nearby. The curtains didn’t block enough light. In Room 17, the water pipe made a loud noise whenever someone nearby used the bathroom, waking me up scared each time. Shampoo and conditioner weren’t provided in the room bathroom. I got some from the box other guests keep.

The location made it easy to get around the city, and the hostel facilities were well maintained. Everything was organized nicely, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the team were supportive and responsive. A good fit for travelers who want easy access to the city.

The peaceful location stood out, especially at night. My room stayed clean and comfortable, and the staff were attentive whenever I needed help. I had a really positive stay and would recommend it.
