Our room got quite cold during the winter, with it at -15 Celsius outside, but the staff quickly brought us a powerful electric heater. It turned the room into a sauna in five minutes, and I fully recommend the hotel. The rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were friendly and professional. It’s in an older building in Gamla Stan, with modernized bathrooms, though the building isn’t fully accessible if stairs are an issue. Breakfast had a good selection, a standard Scandic breakfast with bake-off bread, but the space is small. When it’s busy, there aren’t many seats or time slots to choose from.

The hotel has a lovely historic feel, and its spot in the heart of Gamla Stan is ideal, close to public trains and ferries. The staff were lovely, especially the cooks. There’s a mini fridge in the room, but no tea or coffee setup. You can buy drinks from the machine at reception.

A cozy little hotel tucked into a corner of Gamla Stan. The rooms are small but pretty clean, and there’s a wide choice at breakfast. The woman at reception welcomed us warmly on December 26th at about 12pm. We could also leave our bags in the hotel baggage room before check-in. Thank you, Scandic Gamla Stan 🙋🏼♂️

We had a superior room with more than enough space, and the hotel worked perfectly for our two nights. It was easy to get around by public transport, and walking through the wonderful old town was just as convenient. We loved the location and would happily stay again.

We found the stay really comfortable. The staff were friendly and everything was clean. Gamla Stan is a great base, with local sights easy to reach and restaurants nearby.
