Scandic GO, Sankt Eriksgatan 20

My partner and I spent three nights at Scandic Go in Stockholm and really enjoyed it. The room was clean and comfortable, with more space than we expected. Staff were lovely, and there are free bag lockers if you arrive early and want to explore before check-in. Getting around was easy, with transport and plenty to do nearby. There’s a grocery store close by, and a 7-11 across the road for something more convenient.

A nice stay, and I really want to come back, which isn’t something I often say about hotels. The service was warm and friendly, and my room was clean and tasteful. The hallways had beautiful wood and fun carpets. Breakfast was perfectly inoffensive, though honestly, do yourself a favour and try one of Stockholm’s many lovely breakfast spots. I’d also recommend the local store Pop Troll. You won’t regret stopping in, and you won’t leave empty-handed.

After arriving in Stockholm on an overnight train with three kids, ages 11, 9, and 4, we were running on very little sleep. The service at reception made all the difference. We’d requested early check-in, which wasn’t guaranteed, and somehow our room was ready at 11:00. Then I realized I’d booked the wrong category: a 4-person room instead of the 6-person room that had made me choose this hotel. The receptionist moved us to room 601 without any fuss, and it was available straight away. It turned out to be the best room, with two bedrooms, two showers, a huge balcony, and a Stockholm view that really made us say wow. Exactly what a tired family needed after a night train. Scandic Go is a smart, no-frills base, clean, quiet and efficient, but the hospitality was the standout: proactive, professional and genuinely kind. Room 601 is a gem for families using Stockholm as a stop on an Interrail itinerary. We left rested and recharged, and very grateful. Highly recommend.

The view was great, and the price felt reasonable for the quality, especially in an expensive city like Stockholm. The hotel has a modern feel, a super comfortable bed, and enough room for a suitcase and to move around. It was quiet, and the staff were friendly. There are useful facilities too, including a locker and laundry area. It’s two blocks from a metro and bus station, and about 20 minutes from the old town. With the 72hour metro day card, getting around was excellent. There are two grocery stores nearby and lots of restaurants. Highly recommend.
