The breakfast was fairly standard, nothing special, though handy if you don't want to cook. We had an early flight, and I appreciated that the hotel packed breakfast for us to take along. The room looked like the photos, modern, clean and well equipped. I could connect my phone to the TV, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed plus a large fridge, which made it easy to cook and feel at home. But near the end of the stay I found torn bed linen and candy wrappers under the mattress pad, presumably from earlier guests. Since guests are expected to clean before leaving, take out the rubbish, run the dishwasher and put everything back, it seems the next guest's cleanliness depends on how thoroughly the last person did those things. What I found made that feel unreliable. The hotel was comfortable, but the cleaning rules and the mess I discovered really affected my impression.

The shower was the best I've ever had at a hotel. The area is good, though there isn't much to do nearby at night. For more of a night out, you'll need to head to another part of town.

I didn't get into my room until around 5 a.m., just a few hours before checkout. The door had some sort of fault, so I had to call several different people, and the people on the phone came across as very unprofessional. It took hours for anyone to come and open it. I work in tech, so I understand systems can fail, and I wasn't looking to get angry about a malfunction. But when I contacted customer service asking for compensation for losing the room overnight, they refused. The only offer was 10% off a future visit. No thanks. The whole mess also put a damper on our road trip.

Please be aware of the price issue. I booked through Hotel special for 2880kr, with payment agreed for the day I arrived. Skyapartments then contacted me directly and said I had to pay immediately. I was fine with paying then, but they raised the invoice to 3600kr. Their official website listed the room at 3200kr, including cleaning and taxes. Now they say I can cancel the Hotel special booking if I won't pay, but I can't cancel it for free.
