Pensionat Lungsund

That big living room was great for all of us to gather and chat. We stopped here on the way to the mountains, and found a cozy, family-style atmosphere with warm, personal service from the owner. The rooms are fairly basic, but that feels reasonable for this price. We might well come back.

We could swim in the lake, and for two evenings we used the grill and ate while looking out over the water. The owner's breakfast was lovely. There wasn't a big selection, but the fresh pastries made a nice impression. We stayed two nights in a roomy enough room with a view of the lake. Although the road runs right beside it, we slept well. The mattress was medium-firm. We enjoyed the quiet and would happily return for another restful stay.

I stopped by to have a look, and it seemed like a really cozy campsite.

The beach below the house was lovely for a warm evening swim, and the setting itself is beautiful. When we arrived late, the staff helped us with an errand, and even opened the till to sell us ice cream when we asked, since we didn't have a Swedish payment system. The service was very pleasant. The wall-to-wall carpets were visibly stained, though. Breakfast had no wholemeal bread, but they had said it would be simple, so that's fair. There were lots of spreads, milk, apple and orange juice, and oatmeal, enough for most people, really.
