When our car wouldn’t start as we were leaving on the morning of November 15, the receptionist on duty, Genia (spelling may not be correct), quickly arranged for the hotel’s facilities manager to come by and jump-start the battery, even though he was outside his working hours. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. It was sorted fast, and we were able to get on our way without the hour or more we expected to wait for insurance assistance, which would have cost 1,500 SEK. We’re very grateful for the thoughtful, empathetic service. The hotel is in the middle of major renovations, with major road repairs happening right outside too. That did affect what could otherwise have been a better review. Still, the care from the staff made up for many of the imperfections my wife and I had to put up with. They handled the situation with understanding and good will toward “our neighbors,” and kept smiling and helpful from start to finish. The team deserves credit for a great job. Thank you!

The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. Parking was available, and breakfast was good, although the plates seemed more like kids’ plates because they were so small. The WiFi in our room was poor.

Breakfast was better than at many five-star hotels around the world. A great place to stay, with comfortable beds and nice rooms.

The breakfast buffet had so many fresh options, and the rooms were spotless. Staff were incredibly friendly too. We had a fantastic stay at Scandic Sundsvall Nord, highly recommend it!
