The rooftop is a lovely place for a drink, and everything was clean and well maintained. The room was beautiful and shops are conveniently close. The friendly staff and breakfast buffet, with lots of options and a great chef, made the stay feel special. The bartender was kind and polite, though I felt a little uncomfortable when she mentioned the tip option on the machine and emphasized it. With the room rates, that felt unnecessary. Still, she was lovely, and I had a wonderful stay.

The room was very spacious, and breakfast was amazing. The pool cost extra and had to be booked separately from the room. Children could only use it during set family hours, not at any time of day. That restriction wasn't easy to find while booking.

The rooms are nice and breakfast is good, but the service felt cheap. I was staying there because I had a keynote at a conference in the same hotel the next day. I asked to keep my room for an extra 45 minutes so I could prepare for my session there. Clarion wanted to charge for that, so I politely turned it down. Hotels often do this for free when they can, as long as they aren't overbooked. It felt like a poor first experience, especially since it wouldn't cost them anything beyond cleaning the room at the end of the worklist.

Dinner on floor 4.5 was fab. The room had a relaxed but still sophisticated feel, and the food was fabulous. The veal starter was perfect, and the beef cheeks were the best I've ever had. They tasted perfect with the wine.

We had a good stay at this modern hotel, and the breakfast buffet was good. But the whole top floor was booked for a company summer party while we were there, so we couldn't use the rooftop bar. If we'd known, we'd have stayed somewhere else. The lobby bar also shuts at 23, which is a bit early for us.
