Iskuben i Hamra

We were seven in apartment 5B, which sleeps nine. It was newly renovated and in great shape, with roomy shared spaces, though that came at the expense of bedroom space. It worked very well for us. The internet was hit and miss, sometimes fine and sometimes not working at all.

The apartment is in a very good location and worked well for four adults and two children, with three good bedrooms and okay equipment. The kitchen faucet, which has two handles, was messy, as was the shower. The dishwasher leaked, was reported and supposedly fixed, but started leaking again, so we had to wash dishes by hand.

I’ve stayed at Iskuben twice, and it’s a fantastic place with good hospitality and super service. It’s right by the slopes for skiing, though I prefer snowmobiling in winter and hiking when there’s no snow. Next time I’m planning to go during mountain bike week.

The accommodation is well equipped, right among the slopes, with a good kitchen, comfortable beds, and fresh bathrooms. The internet isn’t up to the demand, though. It works okay when everyone is out skiing, but nearly grinds to a halt in the morning and evening, so you have to use your phone to get online. The interior feels clinical and not especially cozy.
