That was the best hotel sleep we've had. This lovely B&B sits peacefully beside a beautiful lake, right in the heart of Värmland. In summer, it's well placed for hiking in the mountains, canoeing and cycling, and there’s skiing in winter.

We enjoyed seeing the lake from this authentic Swedish house, and the lodge rents boats for exploring it. There are also nearby trails for a pleasant walk. Around the house, the large green lawn gave our baby plenty of room to play and wander. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

Breakfast was delicious, with fruit, bread, jams, cheeses, cereal, and both vegan and regular yogurt, all prepared and served with care. Our dog loved the place too, and we wished we could stay longer. The Inn is right on the lake, with nature all around and hiking and mountain biking trails nearby, plus skiing in winter. Marc and Joanna have brought this historic property back to life while retaining many original features. The old wood floors and beams work beautifully with the airy, high-ceilinged rooms and lake views. Some of the gardens are carefully landscaped, while wildflowers are left to grow in other areas. A lovingly restored Swedish gem.

The owners made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was so good we couldn't have asked for more. We slept really well in the perfect beds, helped by how quiet it is there. The B&B is in a stunning area, and the price for what you get is among the best around. If you're looking for a great Bed & Breakfast experience in the area, I'd urge you to stay here.
