We had a lovely view of the lake from the outdoor seating area. The hotel’s location is amazing, and the bar service was great. The staff were really friendly and kind.

Everyone working there was delightful, and the rooms were decorated impeccably. The resort has incredible food, a heated pool, hot tubs and a lakeside sauna. Getting there is easy, with a quick train ride from Stockholm and then a short 10-minute cab to Sund Nergården. This is the place.

The food was a real surprise, simple but full of flavour, and not the usual Swedish dining. The wine was good too. We also enjoyed the facilities, especially the sauna, hot tub and pool. The staff were welcoming and the lake views were some of the most scenic I’ve seen. Probably the nicest place I stayed in Sweden, and at just an hour from Stockholm, it’s ideal for a staycation.
