I had a wonderful week at this hotel in Umea. The staff were really accommodating and looked after my dietary requirements at meals. My room had everything I needed, including a hairdryer and a set of weights for morning workouts. Breakfast was superb, with smoothies and ginger juice, and dinner was healthy and varied, with Swedish specialties on some days. Utmarkt, och tack så Mycket :)

The hotel is near the central station, and the restaurant is top rate. Breakfast was good quality, and tea and coffee were provided free in the room every day. But the parking doesn't have direct access to the building, and there's no spa. The gym costs 80s/d to use. I didn't like the room design: the sink was in the corridor, and I couldn't reach the light switch from my bed. The view from my room was very bad, maybe the street would be better.

The secure parking option was useful, and the city centre location is excellent. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, too. During my 17 night European trip, this was the best hotel I stayed in. The rooms were stylish and well equipped, as was the hotel's general decor, with a light patina that suited the place. Breakfast was superb for both its range and the quality of the food and drinks. Unbeatable value.

The location is great, and breakfast was pretty decent. The room, though, was quite small and the bathroom tiny. Water ran everywhere when I showered, even into the room. The sink was outside the bathroom, which felt a bit odd, and there was no temperature control or air conditioning in the room. Three out of five stars.
