Best Western Hotel Botnia

The lobby has a cozy, atmospheric feel, and the room was very clean and nice too. Staff were helpful, and the airport is close enough to walk to. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you have an early flight.

They were flexible about letting us check in early, which I appreciated. The outdoor area was a nice extra, and the included dinner was passable while breakfast was good. Our room and beds were clean and comfortable, and the location was nice. The sauna is included and decent, though a bit on the dry side and the heat wasn't consistent. Sadly, both the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower were empty.

We had a good stay overall, and the hotel is well maintained, so I can recommend it. The location works well if you're passing through, though it's not ideal for exploring the city and seemed to be used mostly by workers on the move. There's no airport transfer, despite being close to the airport. We were also surprised when reception came into our room to check whether we were there, and it wasn't even departure day. The lovely riverside sauna costs extra, which was a big disappointment.

The staff made us feel so welcome throughout our eight nights, and we'll miss them, though we have lovely memories to take home. We arrived as a family on Christmas Eve after a long drive and were warmly greeted with a delicious Christmas Eve dinner and a fantastic dessert. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt like a cozy living room. We even had our own regular table for games, and our son could join us for breakfast or dinner every day. The kitchen's fresh food was a treat each day. Coffee from the machine, different teas, cookies, sweets, and soft drinks were available all day for guests. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.
