The hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, well designed, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Our room was excellent, and the bathroom was in perfect condition with great water pressure. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and dinner was delicious. The service from some staff members didn't match that standard. When I asked the receptionist for suggestions for organised activities in the area, she seemed rude and dismissive. She asked if I had a smartphone and told me to look it up myself, saying she couldn't help. I understand not every request can be handled, but her tone was disappointing. At breakfast another morning, there were no coffee cups available. I politely asked a staff member for one, and she responded in a condescending, lecturing way. She said she was busy, told me to be patient, and explained that all the cups were already on the tables. Respectful, friendly communication matters in hospitality. This attitude wasn't acceptable. The hotel has a lot going for it in its design, cleanliness, and food, but some staff need to improve their customer service.

The location was great, close to the centre, and the staff were helpful and professional. We had a nice spacious room, a delicious breakfast, and lovely afternoon coffee. Dinner fell a little short of what we expected, and I would have liked some dessert. The sauna was clean, though a place to relax there would be better than having a TV.

A very pleasant hotel right in central Umeå, with comfortable rooms. The free evening meal at the hotel is especially useful on business trips. I'd definitely come back.

Clarion Collection Hotel Uman made my work trip to Umeå much less stressful, and I left feeling properly relaxed. The receptionist and all the staff were so kind, understanding, and helpful. I've stayed in lots of hotels while travelling, and this was the best hotel experience I've had in this city. I got there around 9:30 am, exhausted from travelling, even though check-in wasn't until 3:00 pm. The receptionist gave me a room key right away, without hesitation or excuses. That was a welcome change from other hotels in Umeå. One had wanted an extra 600 kr for letting me check in just 3 hours early, and another hadn't even checked whether a room was available. Later, I went to the restaurant just as they were clearing the breakfast buffet. The staff noticed me and kindly let me choose as much food as I wanted before they took it away. They told me not to worry and said they wouldn't remove the table until I'd finished breakfast. If you're travelling to Umeå, I'd highly recommend staying here. It made things feel easy and relaxing, and was worth every penny without regret 🌸👌🏻

The home hotel uman is my go-to in umea, and I'll definitely come back. The service is excellent, breakfast is terrific, and the rooms are clean and tidy. I especially like the sauna and gym, which most guests didn't seem to use much. The waffles you can make yourself are perfect 🤩 👌 I can hardly complain. A clock in the sauna and drinking water in the gym would be nice 💧 ⌚️. Sorry for the four stars, I’m German 🇩🇪 and nothing is perfect.
