We went on 21 June 2023 just for the rail biking, or dressin, and did an hour out and back, maybe 8 kilometers. We didn't stop for a picnic or swim, though those options were available if your group wanted them. Ms. Edith was lovely and easy to talk to. We'll certainly come back if we're in the area again.

We rented a rail bike for the whole day when we visited in June 2020 for a dressin trip. That meant we could stop whenever we liked without worrying about the time. There are spots to pause along the way, including a small sandy beach that looked great for swimming around the 133 km mark, and an outdoor toilet. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are seats for two people to pedal and room for one or two passengers, plus space for bags. The route toward Vansbro is a little uphill, so the ride back is downhill and about twice as fast. Someone strong will need to lift the bike, for example when turning it around.

The kids loved the rail bikes, and we had a great time. Staff were friendly, too. We'd definitely come back if we're in the area again.

We came in September and happened to be the only ones there, so we could take the railbike ride at our own pace. A lovely way to enjoy the nature.
