Late in August, on our way north, we had a great stay at Villa Gransholm with our dog Toni. The setting is fantastic, in a peaceful little village among fields and trees, with a fairytale feel. We checked in at 3:00 pm and got a warm, friendly welcome. Coffee and delicious chocolate cake helped us recover from the long drive before a lovely walk around the surroundings and the villa’s beautiful park. We loved the whole interior and our spacious room and bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean and had a fantastic atmosphere, and the people were wonderful. The service was incredible. The food was also inspiring, with great traditional Swedish cuisine, a lovely menu, and great wine. Huge compliments to everyone. You’re now among our favorites, and we’ll definitely come back. This country hotel gave us exactly the Swedish atmosphere we wanted for our first stop on a round trip through Sweden. The surroundings were fantastic, the decor was typically Swedish throughout, and we had great food and the best service. Thank you all ❤️

We came back today during another canoe trip, 14 years after our first visit. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, but the staff were still extremely friendly. They topped up our fresh water and even gave us freshly baked cake. The hotel and restaurant are absolutely beautiful, and the service and kitchen are excellent. Outstanding!

We came to Gransholm for a 21-person birthday party. The park was lovely, the staff were great, and the three-course meal was yummy. The old, fancy decor still had a homey feel, and the owner was nice. They had a good selection of drinks and seasonal dishes made with local ingredients. Worth a visit and a few days' stay. Thanks for the experience!

The food was outstanding, and the service felt genuinely friendly and great. The house and garden are wonderful, though they're a little off the beaten path. I also liked the historic rooms and their quirks.
