The view across the Baltic Sea from the hilltop is beautiful. I went for the barbecue evening in high season and chose the self-service grill buffet. The queue for food took quite a while, though the buffet was exquisite and made the wait worthwhile. I stayed in an apartment, whose interior felt a little austere and dated for the price. Maybe the hotel rooms are nicer. Still, the scenery and food make this a unique place.

We were a group of 11 and got seated straight away. The food came out in under ten minutes, and it was both quick and really good. With the great view, I'd recommend eating here as an alternative to dealing with the crowds at the nearby tourist attraction.

The sea views make this a five-star location. Toward the end of the season the menu was reduced, and several dishes were no longer available. We ordered salmon and sirloin for dinner. Service was decent and the food arrived on time. The salmon and its sauce were delicious, but the steak was only okay, the green beans still had their stalks on, and the baked potato was far too salty. We mentioned it, and the dish was remade perfectly. The staff were friendly, though they seemed busier in the kitchen than in the restaurant. Food was decent to good, and the mistake was handled well.

The staff were very nice and translated the whole menu for us. You don't have to be staying at the hotel to eat at the restaurant.

Eating here on a summer evening was such a great experience. The food, service, and view were all excellent, and we also visited nearby Ales Stenar afterward.
