Amara Sanctuary Sentosa

MJ made breakfast especially enjoyable with her friendly manner and attentiveness. She took time to explain the food choices at each corner, and her knowledge and warmth really stood out. We stayed one night at Amara Sanctuary Resort Sentosa on 26 Feb. Since check-in was at 3pm, MJ kindly arranged an alternative breakfast option for our family of four. We appreciated her thoughtfulness and willingness to go the extra mile. Thanks for making the stay special. We’ll definitely return.

The peaceful ambience and great food made lunch lovely, and MJ’s service was the personal touch that made it feel impeccable. She was warm, helpful, and sharp throughout, noticed when we’d run out of water, and topped us up straight away. She even remembered our names from the reservation, which is a thoughtful touch I rarely find at restaurants. We took the complimentary shuttle from Harbourfront MRT exit B, so getting to the restaurant was easy. At the sanctuary tearoom we got a friendly, bubbly welcome, and the staff were well trained. 100/10 experience. Also saw a peacock with a baby, so cute haha.

The people here are what I’ll remember most. Shaz, the Duty Manager, made sure I felt heard and valued, and it was through her that I fell in love with Singapore. I’ll always remember her beautiful face. Sita from breakfast surprised me with a dessert connected to our shared cultures, and the Breakfast Chef put together a care package for my departure that moved me to tears on the flight. As I was leaving, staff ran out to give me a candle and a personal recommendation for shopping in the Malay district. Even with refurbishments going on during my stay February 24/2/25, the peaceful atmosphere wasn’t disturbed. The staff’s generosity made the construction feel invisible. The grounds were immaculate, with peacocks roaming freely, and the facilities were modern and pristine. My bungalow felt magical. I loved unwinding with the signature Amara Singapore tea blend, and the daily replenished snacks seemed never-ending. Breakfast balanced Asian and international flavors beautifully. Being given a national dish to try was a “healing” experience I didn’t know I needed. This felt like a real connection, not just a stay. The staff are still in my thoughts and prayers.

At Sanctuary Tearoom, Jennifer was so lovely and made us feel warmly welcomed. The food was excellent too. My wife loved the seasonal “Radiant Acai Dish,” created for international women's day, I think. It was full of fresh flavors and delicious fruit. I went for the crispy pork belly instead, much less healthy than her Acai bowl, but wow, artery-clogging good. Lovely evening.
