The rooms are very small, but they were cleaned daily, with fresh towels and bottled water provided. There’s a small fridge and coffee-making facilities in the room. You can buy snacks and 2minute noodles at reception, and there’s free coffee and biscuits too. The location is perfect, close to Little India train station and a bus stop, and both were easy ways to get around Singapore. Lots of food options are nearby, including 7/11s and Western-style places. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and enjoyed it, as well as the hot snacks from the cinema across the road. The staff were helpful and friendly. They safely kept our luggage for the day while we went on a day trip, which helped a lot. We also booked an airport transfer through City Inn. It was easy and comfortable, and the friendly driver gave us a great insight into Singapore and its history.

We stayed for 10 nights. The location is very good, and the hotel looked about as nice as it did in the pictures. Staff were helpful and kind, and they were happy to move us to a room with a window after we paid the difference. That room had a flickering broken light that couldn't be switched off, a broken showerhead, and a smelly drain whenever the tap ran. The 24-hour check-in was very useful, and we could leave our bags after checkout for our late flight. The main gripe is the room lottery.

Tekka Centre is just across a busy road, with plenty of local food to choose from. Little India MRT is close too: you can see the hotel sign from Exit A, and it’s about a five-minute walk from there. The hotel seems quite new, and I thought it was worth the price.

There wasn’t anywhere nearby open for breakfast, since the shops seemed to start opening around 10, which was inconvenient. Our room was spacious enough, but didn’t feel very clean. There were lots of ants, the air conditioner dripped, and the shower curtain looked like it was getting mouldy. We didn’t have a great stay.

The location is handy, with different public transport stops nearby. The rooms are small but clean. It was noisy at times, and the shower never got warm. We told the staff, but it wasn’t fixed. It’s okay if you’re after budget-friendly accommodation.
